Taliah Waajid Pure and natural hair line Review
Hey naturalistas! We're nearing the end of heat, humidity, sand, dirt, etc attacking our hair this summer. That means no matter what type of hair you have, at this point it needs some TLC. Thats exactly what my hair received when using the Taliah Waajid Shea Coco natural hair care line!
The Taliah Waajid Shea Coco line contains the Detox-Shampoo and Moisture Madness Masque, Moni oil, Conditioning Co-wash, Style cream, Hair souffle', and Leave-in conditioner. All of these products have awesome benefits and work together to leave your hair looking AND feeling great.
Detox shampoo & Moisture Madness masque: Detoxify your hair and scalp with this Tea Tree oil and Charcoal based product by removing impurities. The Shea and Coconut oils help hydrate and replenish your hairs natural moisture, achieve your ideal hair prosperity, and strengthen your hair!
Moni Oil: This oil allows your hair to have shine and less frizz, while repairing split ends and other hair damage!
Co-wash: Soften and condition your hair while fighting frizz. This product can also double as a leave-in conditioner and detangler!
Style cream: This (non greasy) product caters to hair types 3C-4C, you can expect defined and frizz free curls!
Hair Souffle: A lighter styler for curly/wavy hair types (3B-4B), define your curls without weighing them down!
Leave-in conditioner: This product straightens and protects your hair, and may also be used as a heat protectant!
To achieve the style I want, I started out by washing (co-washing) my hair, conditioning, and then following through with the LOC method. L(leave-in), O(oil), and C(Cream). After all product is applied in the LOC method order, I let my hair air dry. I either leave it down as a wash and go, or slick it into a puff!
Here is my hair after air drying completely- I usually wear it in this wash and go style for a couple days before giving into the puff!
I typically actually wash my hair with shampoo once or twice a month to remove build up, but other than that I co-wash weekly in between styles! For my leave in and oil, I used the leave-in conditioner and Moni oil, but I chose to only use one of the creams. Since I have type 4a/4b hair, which is a kinkier texture once it dries, I chose the styling cream over the soufflรฉ.
The styling cream is thick in consistency but smooth enough to evenly distribute through out your hair. Two key bonuses that I noticed with this cream having the consistency that it does are, you don't need a lot, and it holds your defined curls gently!
I absolutely loved how my hair looked using this line, but most importantly, I loved how my hair felt. My results are evident that these products do their job! This summer, high puffs have been my go-to when it comes to my hair because they're so easy, but they can be drying. My hair is thanking me for giving it the care it needed with the Taliah Waajid line.
I hope you enjoyed my review and will give these products a try. They make moisturizing and styling so simple! Besides the Shea Coco, this line has many other outstanding products. Including protective style care, which is awesome.
