When God Interrupts your Goals!
Let's Pick Up where We Left Off!
I'VE MISSED YOU
Hey loves! whewww, it seems like it's been a mighty LONG time since we spoke. I definitely started a series and left you hanging, so sorry, but I am back and in FULL attack mode! I couldn't be more on fire and ready to pick up the pieces with blogging again. Thank you so much for rocking with me these last couple years. I will no longer be playing games. As I just admitted to, I started a three part series with great intention, and still left you all hanging. Shortly after sharing the first part of the series, God said NAH SIS. I tried as hard as I could to ignore it because I felt like I was good enough. Little did I know, God wanted me to take a hiatus to completely transform! So, ALLOW ME TO RE-INTRODUCE MYSELF, MY NAME IS BRI! B TO THE R I... LOL but, without further ado, let's get back into setting some goals!
WHAT HAPPENED SIS?!
Reading the title of this post, you're probably thinking, "how did God so called interrupt you?!" Let me explain. I felt like I had a great plan with this 3 part series. I would kick things off right at the end of the year, and bring us into the new year shutting ish down, but God had other plans for me these first few months of the year. Going into 2018, I felt kind of odd. Honestly, I felt overwhelmed! I had a million and one things on my mind that I hadn't officially run by God, nor took intentional time to develop. Once I stopped being stubborn and logged out all my socials and told God I was ready, the transformation begun!
In part 1 of this series, I stated setting goals begins with getting a 360 view of your NOW, and letting go of what no longer serves you... boy did God make sure I was practicing what I was blogging! (haha)
PREPARATION + PROGRESSION
During this time off with God, I was still doing a lot of planning in all areas, but before I could say what I was going to do, I had to let God tell me! I had to allow God to cultivate the Bri he wants flourishing and telling you how you can too! There were a few big things on my heart that I thought I had let go of, but hadn't. That was my first means of business during this break. The 360 of my NOW emotionally was a mess. The first couple weeks were rough, but also so fulfilling. God had already done so much with my yes.
WHAT'S NEXT?
So, what's the next step after determining your now? Giving it to God, and letting him give your later back to you 10x better. Once I did that, I immediately could see my goals more clearer. Before setting out to step into my later, I had to put in some work. You know, elbow grease. Sweat, Tears. Research had to be done on what it would take to get to the next level. You can't hit a target if you don't know where you're aiming!
For me, I knew a big piece of my later was blogging and posting online content more intentionally and consistently. One thing God told me was, you need to have a schedule for everything. Don't just keep your goals in your head and expect them to magically flourish before your eyes.
I'm telling you all this to say, true success doesn't have shortcuts. Your goals that reveal your destiny aren't like Amazon, there's no expedited process! After 1. determining your now, and giving it to God, be sure to 2. determine your later and all the work that is required of you! Then you can go onto part 3. which, is allowing your goals to manifest.
PACE
Sometimes it seems like God is ruining our plans to cause chaos because we can literally feel ourselves being uprooted from the soil we're SO comfortable in, but that soil is no longer serving our growth. It's time to be re-planted for the better. Don't be discouraged! The best advice I can give for Goal setting is to go at your own #PACE. Why did I just hashtag and capitalize the word pace? Because it's what my later looks like. It's apart of my plan. From this moment forward, I will have a theme for all content I post each month on my blog and all social media. This month's theme happens to be #PACE. Be sure to tune in next week (Wednesday, Feb. 28th) for the last part of this series!
A setback can ALWAYS be bounced back from. It's all up to you.
As always, I appreciate every person that stops by! Be sure to share this with someone who needs it, and check out my socials for updates.- Be Blessed!
