A Series on Goal Setting
Part 1: What's Your Now Look Like?
Hey everyone! I hope you're feeling awesome, because only awesome people are reading this (hehe). In all seriousness you deserve the best life! Now, I'm sure you're wondering what this series is. It's the first one I've ever done on my blog. I'm super excited to grow with you!
So, what is this series about? And why? Well, it's ALL about goal setting and improving. The reason I decided to start off the year sharing this series with you, is because it's legitimately what helped me improve my own life. As I stated earlier, this series is all about goal setting. I'll be giving you a goal setting 101 session over the next month, broken up into 3 posts. Let's get started on part 1!
'Determine your NOW'
Okay, so I know "determining your now" could mean anything for you. It could be great, or if could make you feel like your life is in shambles. Don't be afraid, this is only the beginning of self repair and improvement! The first and most important part of self improvement is being real with yourself.
Simply put- Determining your now is allowing yourself to be aware of where you are in your journey at the moment. What do you like? What would you like to see out of your life?
It's obvious to know what to do with what you like, but the opposite of what you like can be frustrating. My advice to you, would be to let whatever it is GO. Why is this important in goal setting? Because you simply can't create in a cluttered space! Before you start planning your future of living your best life, you have to let go of nonsense so that it doesn't follow you around. Ultimately, our ideas and aspirations flow directly from our heart. If your holding on to garbage, these aspirations tend to be stagnant.
Don't skip this part of the process. It'll backfire. Being that I already know you're awesome and don't do things like that, we can move on. Once you determine your now, you can start determining your later. But we'll save that for next time! For now, I challenge you to write down your now, pray over it, and claim peace and growth!
