Color Blocking

Block out Negativity with Color this Spring!

The world moves so fast and, tends to blend into so many different things(let's refer to those things as colors). If you've checked out my blog posts before, you know I live in Michigan and the weather can be very wishy washy! But more recently we've gotten some awesome sunny weather! What colors do you put into the world? They don't have to be bright, but they should represent you. So, if you're favorite color is black, that is a-ok! 

For me, sunny weather calls for bright colors and better attitudes! Stinky thinking calls for stinky dressing. How do you feel about you and your life? Let's brighten our mood and wardrobe with some color! 

I had recently purchased the white cotton tie top from forever21, which is really easy to add color to, hence the necklace(which is also from Forever21). I then found the capris there shortly after. As you can see, the capris are blue, and the shoes(from Charlotte Russe) are pink and red. Then the bag is a mustard colored Steve Madden from Tj Maxx. That's where the color blocking comes in. 

Now, I'm not saying colors and dressing nice brightens everyone's mood, but it works for me, and it's certainly worth a try for you! I love the saying 'Dress how you wish to be addressed' because it's so true. Not saying if you're favorite color is black people won't approach you, but to me that quote is saying: have confidence in everything you wear.  What does your outfit say about you? 

This outfit in particular, says I can be fun, out going, and creative. 

As I mentioned earlier, there's already enough negativity in the world. An outfit that represents something fun about you. So again, even if you only wear black, that's fine. You can still block out negativity with color this spring!
