My faith and prayer mean everything to me because they have guided me through life so far. Now, Do I have moments when I feel like every thing I'm doing is pointless? Oh, Absolutely. My faith was tested for quite a while. I wanted to quit college, and just get a regular 9-5 that had nothing to do with my passion in the health field. I had my ideas for my blog written down for the longest, but I always deleted every website I created before even publishing it. I lacked confidence badly. I wanted to travel but had awful anxiety about it.
Where would I get the time and money to create a blog and travel? Who did I think I was to want to experience all life has for me? It was scary to me. I didn't understand what was happening, a part of me felt like God himself was attacking me with these crazy thoughts.

But my faith and prayer kept me going. Every day/night I kept talking to God as if he was just a regular person. I was brutally honest about how I felt inside. As weeks and months went by, I no longer felt attacked. I felt like this test of faith was strengthening me. I started feeling like myself again.
The saying "it could always be worse" is 100% true, but everyone has a struggle. Life can be extremely frustrating and hard, even when you have good things going. You have to stop telling yourself you can't do it, and look in the mirror and tell yourself you can. Actually, you will. As I get older I'm beginning to see that those frustrating moments in life are not meant to break us down to the point of just giving up. They're meant to keep us in check, and keep us going. They are the building blocks of the foundation of who we are and our story.
Imperfections are what help you. They don't disqualify you from anything. Keeping my faith and relationship with God has helped me tremendously. I don't doubt myself anymore. I don't feel unworthy of what life has to offer. I didn't quit school. In fact, I graduate in June! You're reading this right now, so that means I finally got the confidence to publish my website. And I've been on more trips than most college students I know. *toots own horn*
